Anna and I were thrilled to photograph Kisha and Desmond’s wedding this past weekend. I have to say, it was for a few reasons. The first being Kisha and Desmond themselves – they are just such a fun, loving couple! We got to know them at their engagement session and had a great time. Really, we just couldn’t wait for their wedding – it was so great! The second reason, of course, was the chance to work again with many of the best wedding professionals in Atlanta. The list of the vendors for Desmond and Kisha really are some of the best of the best (you can see links to them at the bottom of the post).

We just wanted to blog a bit about an upcoming event – Life + Style Special Occasions Expo! Anna and I will be there along with several other top professionals in Atlanta! If you are able to attend on September 9th, please come by and say hi to us! We’ll see you there!

Anna and I had a great time photographing Michaela & Ben’s engagement session last week at Vikery Creek Park in Roswell, Ga (just north of Atlanta, considered by many to be in Atlanta). This is a place that Anna and I love – partly due to our time going there with friends in our youth. It’s a little known location, other than to most rock climbers in the area. I remember first coming across it by chance – turning into a gravel road just to see what was down the end. But, enough about my memories – on to Michaela & Ben! They were wonderful. The photographs are beautiful, and we had a great dinner afterwards as well. Ha, we even stayed 30 minutes after their closing time. Seriously, it was that good of a time. We always love it when we have a chance to photograph other’s whose company we enjoy.

So, Anna and I are super excited for Jenn Hobby (and Grant!) today! She co-hosted Live! with Regis and Kelly and was great!!!! Grant, her fiancee, even made an appearance!!! You can see him near the beginning of the video. We’re photographing their wedding in November and can’t wait! So, we just wanted to brag on Jenn for a little bit and share the video here. We can’t wait for their wedding!

Chris and Elizabeth had such a beautiful wedding this past weekend at Park Tavern in Atlanta. To Chris & Elizabeth, from Anna and myself, we want to tell you a huge congratulations. The day went splendidly – in fact, it was one of the most organized weddings we’ve ever had the privilege of photographing. The day flowed effortlessly and with true, genuine, emotion & moments. Now, of course, this is, at least partly, due to Chris and Elizabeth themselves – we got a chance to know them during their engagement session, and, well, we could tell they would have nothing less than a wonderful wedding.

However, I do think it also had to do with the nothing-short-of-great wedding professionals involved in making the day happen as well. (A huge shout out to Brian Green with F & G Weddings for making this day happen). You can see a full list of vendors at the bottom of this post. We were in northern Italy recently for Marc & Valeria’s wedding; of course, we had to swing by Venice while we were there. We had a great time with this shoot (it’s just the two of us). Jing getting ready above – I wanted to note, Euijung Hwang was Jing’s excellent makeup artist on her wedding day.

Jing had an amazing dress from Bridals by Lori. It was gorgeous!

So, you might wonder here about the cranes (you’ll see them again as you look at more photographs). So, let me tell you the story of 1000 cranes. It is a Japanese tradition where if you craft 1000 cranes, you are granted one wish. So, in keeping with this tradition, Kyle made 1000 cranes … twice. The first time, Kyle made 1000 cranes before asking Jing on a date. Of course, for this, he received one wish – and, seeing their wedding, I believe it was granted. Then, again, for their wedding (and I may have lost part of this story as I only overheard it), they created another 1000 cranes. I’m not sure on what their wish is – perhaps Kyle’s was that she would say ‘I do’ – however, I am sure that it will be granted as well. This was very meaningful to Kyle and Jing, and I’m glad we were able to capture it throughout the day.

I wanted to mention here – in the photograph above, you can just barely see it starting to sprinkle (noticeable in the water). Right after everyone got under cover, it started to poor. Their timing couldn’t have been better for the weather.

After the toasts, we went back out to prepare for the tossing of the bouquet! On the bridge, of course. Jing and Kyle wanted a few photographs first of just the two of them.

Anna and I had a wonderful time photographing Marylee & Barry’s wedding in Chattanooga, TN. Their wedding took place at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga. Afterwards, we headed over to the Chattanooga Golf & Country Club for their reception. Anna and I really enjoyed photographing the entire day. Anna and I had a blast doing this – we got to go all around Paris with Glenn & Deb (and Allison!!!) taking wonderful photographs for them. So, without further ado, we’ll start with the images.
